From DeForest’s Irisnoll catalog for 1947: “Brighter color in same pattern as Tiffanja. Standards gold. Falls flaring, white edged gold. Styles gold. Beard brown, tipped orange. Brown markings. Flowers measure close to six inches. As conspicuous as a “Ten Gallon” hat, hence the name.”

From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1952: “Big, bold and gay. A brighter Tiffanja with a creamy gold background patterned and speckled with bright buckskin brown marking. Huge bloom on tall well branched stems.”

(Tiffanja X Casa Morena), HM 1949.
