Full Description
Onco TB 36″ E
From Lloyd Austin’s catalog for 1960: “A fascinating Oncobred bringing to the much sought Butterfly Wings pattern a brighter and more attractive coloring. A red version of renowned Butterfly Wings. Standards pale red, flushed yellow from base. Falls dark scarlet, with prominent white area around beard. Dark scarlet veins cross this white area, and extend to the edges of the scarlet falls. This is the reddest of all Oncobreds, and not only is it red, but it approaches dark scarlet, a color sought by Iris breeders for generations. Plentiful pollen. Well branched stalks bearing about 7 flowers.”
