Full Description

TB 45″ E-M

From Rainbow Hybridizing Gardens catalog for 1963: “A remarkable tall, robust Iris that takes its name in part from our own nearby lofty Sierra Nevada, in part from the glory of its true sunset coloring. Large enough to class as a Colossal & quite often many of its flowers are horned, too, with horns over 1” long. Standards a bright buff-yellow, lightly laced; falls light crimson, splashed and edged in light yellow. A skyscraper of an Iris, will sometimes reach above 4 feet. Likely to yield offspring that are horned, laced, or both. Try it. Pollen plentiful.
