Schreiner’s catalog for 1961: “A luminous yellow of exceptional clarity. The entire flower is full and copiously formed with both standards and falls lightly ruffled. Capping all this is a rich, bright orange tangerine beard. There are several iris of this general coloring but Techny Chimes stands alone as the most dramatic. It is the foremost red bearded yellow of noble proportions.”
