Full Description

From Lloyd Austin’s Rainbow Offerings 1054 “A lovely apricot yellow that is the nearest approach to date of a pure yellow with a tangerine beard. An extralarge flower resembling the famous Hi-Time but larger and without the salmon tones. The heavy reddish orange beard sets this apart as the most stunning yellow of our generation. Of   special interest to hybridizers, as it is from Dolly Varden one of the largest of flamingo pinks. It would be hard to imagine any iris that would be better fitted to make your garden stand out from all others.”

From Schreiners Iris Lovers Catalog 1958.”A warm toned, deep apricot yellow. The flaring falls curve gracefully and have a crowning adornment of a very heavy rich orange beard. A mellow toned iris that will warm the cockles of your heart. A most pleasant color, neither a peach nor a yellow, but one of the indescribably in between hues that is rare and different.”
