From Stevens Bros. catalog for 1952-53: “A gloriously rich colour of a new shade of copper toned rose red. The large wide-petaled flowers of this iris have lovely form, excellent substance and a smooth even texture. Place this near creams such as Airy Grace and Sylvan Song, even that old favorite Magnolia, add a light blue, and you will have a picture that delights the eye with its beauty and balance. Distinct, colourful and different.”
(Copper Rose X Redmayne).
Note: This variety was originally entered as Arabian Nights, but that name was formerly released by Mrs. Stevens to Mrs. Whiting.
