From National Iris Gardens catalog for 1942: “Slightly open standards of white heavily veined and washed blue; semi-flaring falls of white, veined blue at extreme edge and maroon at haft. Strongly fragrant, gigantic flowers on good stalks.”

From Tell’s iris Gardens catalog for 1951: “Simply huge blue and white plicata. Fine parent. Even blood for Amoena and neglecta due to L.A.W. blood.”
