Full Description

TB 42″ Early bloom. Color Class-B1M

From Quality Gardens catalog 1931: WEDGEWOOD (Dykes 1923) E. 42″. This is a beautiful rich, true blue self. The whole flower, standards and falls may be compared for color with that in the standards of the wonderful Iris Souv de Mad. Gaudichau. The flowers are large, with a prominent white beard. The combination of the white beard on the blue background, gave the flower its name. The flowers are very freely produced on strong branching stems. $1.00.
From Robert Wayman’s catalog for 1932: “The richest Wedgwood-China blue of uniform color throughout with a striking white beard. Large flower.”
