From Cooley’s Gardens catalog for 1965: “This is the first in a series of new style amoenas from the garden of Paul Cook. Standards are pure white, the falls soft medium blue and the beard is practically white. Petals are broad and flaring.”

From Eden Road Iris Garden catalog for 1966: “Amoena with standards of white and falls solid medium blue. Flowers are large with clean hafts, broad petals and flaring form. Well branched. In great demand not only for its beauty but for hybridizing.”
